A graduation cap, also known as a mortarboard, is a flat-topped academic cap with a tassel attached to the center. Putting on a graduation cap is a simple process, but it is important to do so correctly to ensure that the cap stays in place during the ceremony.
To put on a graduation cap, first, hold the cap in your non-dominant hand with the tassel hanging down in front. Next, place the center of the cap on the top of your head, with the front edge of the cap resting just above your eyebrows. Finally, adjust the cap so that it is level and centered on your head. The tassel should hang down in the middle of your forehead.
